DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Neuronics Conference 2025 that will take place at Tsukuba (Japan) in June 2025.  \nBrain-inspired neuromorphic computing has emerged as a promising solution to overcome the computation bottlenecks in artificial intelligence (AI) applications. However\, traditional CMOS technologies\, which heavily relied on silicon\, face significant challenges such as volatility and energy inefficiency. These obstacles have hindered the rapid progress in the field. Thankfully\, recent developments in novel memory and memristive technologies\, have revitalized the pursuit of efficient and high-performance neuromorphic computing systems. \nThis conference aimed to present the current status and cutting-edge advancements in the development of neuromorphic devices that emulate biological neural processes through device physics. A particular focus was placed on memristive technologies as a promising devices for implementing various neuromorphic functions\, including artificial synapses\, neurons\, and dendrites. The different material platforms included conjugated polymers\, hydrogels\, nonmetal oxides\, correlated oxides\, transition metal oxides (TMOs)\, chalcogenides\, carbon-based materials\, phase change\, ferroelectric materials\, piezoelectric materials\,magnetics materials\, fluidics\, and nanocomposites.

In 2024 the conference will be hosted by the swiss AI lab IDSIA and it will be held at the USI & SUPSI Campus Est\, Lugano-Viganello\, Switzerland. \nICANN is a conference featuring tracks in Brain Inspired Computing\, Machine Learning\, and Artificial Neural Networks\, with strong cross-disciplinary interactions and applications. \nThe 2024 edition of the ICANN will be organized by the Dalle Molle Institute for Artificial Intelligence Research (IDSIA USI-SUPSI) in Lugano\, Switzerland in collaboration with AIDD and AiChemist Horizon MSCA projects. \nConference venue: USI-SUPSI Campus Est\, Via la Santa 1\, 6962 Lugano-Viganello\, Switzerland \nConference dates: September 17 to September 20\, 2024.  \nThe ICANN 2024 will be organized as an in-person event. We thank all presenters for traveling to Lugano and joining the conference\, in order to foster the professional exchange between the participants.

DESCRIPTION:ICONS 2024 will be held in a hybrid format\, with the physical conference in Arlington\, Virginia. Virtual attendance details will also be provided to the participants. The meeting will take place July 30-August 2\, 2024.\nThe goal of ICONS is to bring together leading researchers in neuromorphic computing to present new research\, develop new collaborations\, and provide a forum to publish work in this area. Our focus will be on architectures\, models\, algorithms and applications of neuromorphic systems. \n
